Description

This 1992 Volkswagen GTI 16V was first registered in California and remained there through the seller’s acquisition in 2022, reportedly from its original owner. The car now shows 88k miles, and maintenance under current ownership is said to have included refreshes of the suspension and fuel system as well as a timing belt service and replacement of the battery. The car is finished black over grey cloth upholstery with patterned inserts and is powered by a 2.0L 16-valve inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a sunroof, 15″ BBS wheels, Recaro front seats, and air conditioning. This GTI is now offered in California with a clean Carfax report and an Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in black with a black grille, bumper trim, and bodyside moldings. The 2.0L 16-valve inline-four features Bosch fuel injection, and factory-rated output was 134 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. Work since 2022 has reportedly included a timing belt service, a tune-up, and replacement of the fuel pump, fuel accumulator, fuel filter, and battery.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.
