This 1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI 16V is a European-market example that is said to have spent time in Spain and Germany before it was acquired by the seller and imported to the US in 2020. The car is powered by a 16-valve 1.8-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in red over gray cloth upholstery. Equipment includes 17” BBS LM wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a manual sunroof, Recaro front seats, power windows and locks, and a Kenwood AM/FM CD stereo. Service under current ownership included replacing the valve cover gasket, intake manifold gasket, ignition distributor, and fuel accumulator.
