Every Volkswagen GTI Mk2 has a story—and at our dealership, we believe it’s our job to preserve that story while giving it a new chapter. Restoration is not just about fixing what’s broken; it’s about respecting heritage, honoring design, and reviving a car that was built to be driven.
Our restoration process begins the moment a car arrives. First, we do a full visual and mechanical inspection. We look for rust, assess body panel alignment, check electrical systems, and scan for previous poor repairs. Then, depending on the car’s condition, we develop a tailored restoration plan.
Some cars receive a full nut-and-bolt teardown, including rust removal, repainting, and reassembly with new or refurbished parts. Others just need careful cosmetic work and mechanical sorting to be roadworthy again. We source OEM or period-correct aftermarket parts whenever possible. From the correct shift knobs to Euro-spec bumpers and rare BBS wheels—we go the extra mile to keep things authentic.
One of our favorite projects was a 1990 GTI 16V in Oak Green. It came in tired, faded, and barely running. After six months, we brought it back to its former glory: fresh paint, rebuilt engine, new suspension, and period-correct Recaro seats. Seeing the smile on the buyer’s face when they took the keys reminded us why we do this.
When you buy from us, you’re not just getting a car—you’re getting the result of passion, precision, and pride in keeping the Mk2 GTI legacy alive.
