This 1992 Volkswagen Golf GTI 16V was first sold in Illinois and is said to have spent time in Turkey and Greece before it was imported back into the US and acquired by the seller in 2018. The car is finished in black over gray cloth upholstery and is powered by a 16-valve 2.0L inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ BBS RM basketweave wheels, aftermarket exhaust components, a rear spoiler, Bilstein dampers, Recaro front seats, and air conditioning. Recent service included replacing the distributor cap and rotor and recharging the air conditioning system. This Mk2 GTI is offered at no reserve with service records, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Hawaii title in the seller’s name.

The cabin features front Recaro sport seats trimmed in gray cloth with patterned inserts, and matching upholstery covers the rear bench. Red piping accents the dashboard and door panels. Amenities include power windows, a dashboard cover, aftermarket speakers, and air conditioning. The seller notes the cassette player is disconnected, the power mirrors are nonfunctional, the passenger window is slow to operate, and the trim around the door handles is worn. The rear side panel trim was repaired and the air conditioning system was recharged in August 2022. The replacement shifter mechanism requires adjustment.
